The trevi team has a combined NHH market experience of over 150 years. We have been involved in both the Scottish and English markets since their inception, building the systems on which each market depends. We are uniquely placed to understand all of the calculations required to make sure you know what is happening to your wholesale and retail charges.

Our experience also includes years of working in trading party senior leadership. This means that we understand the context of why charges are changing and what this means for your downstream processes and ultimately your bottom line.

We are passionate about the NHH market succeeding. Our team have identified frictions in the market and been instrumental in delivering code changes which help market participants. This includes CPW152 and CPW157 – each of which we identified the problems caused by the market rules, raised awareness and assisted with providing evidence.

Designed, built, and supported the Central Systems for the competitive retail water market in Scotland, managing customer registration and settlement of the £350M annual wholesale bill for the Central Market Agency (CMA).

2012 - Present

Trusted Systems Operator

Systems Operator for the market-critical Central Market Solutions ensuring availability, performance and security of all test and production systems.

2015 - 2019

CMOS Settlement

Delivery

Developed and supported the market settlement engine within CMOS for MOSL, enabling the opening of the English water market in April 2017.

trevi Powering Both Retailers & Wholesalers

Designed, built, and supported our trevi platform of products (Billing and Forecaster) for retailers and wholesalers in the non-household markets.

Stephen Beer

Managing Director

Stephen is Managing Director and co-founder of Bridgeall, where he has guided the company’s growth and development since 2002.

Today, his focus is on shaping the strategic direction and driving business expansion for the trevi platform.

With extensive experience across the electricity, gas, and water sectors, alongside a PhD in Software Engineering, Stephen is uniquely positioned to ensure trevi continues to meet the evolving needs of retailers and wholesalers in the water market.

His leadership, coupled with a relentless focus on excellence, underpins trevi’s reputation for precision, reliability, and performance.

John Dorans

Head of Water Solutions

John leads the trevi business unit at Bridgeall, overseeing all aspects of the product line’s development and delivery. With over 20 years of experience in IT and having been with Bridgeall since 2010, he has played a pivotal role in shaping mission-critical systems for clients including the CMA, MOSL and trading parties.

John led the development of the market settlement system within CMOS, settling £2.5bn annually, and is widely recognised as a leading authority on the technical and business intricacies of market calculations, processes, and transactions.

Combining deep technological proficiency with sector-specific insight, John is uniquely positioned to lead the trevi team in designing innovative, effective solutions for both retailers and wholesalers in the water industry.

As a leader, John is known for his unwavering dedication to the continual evolution of the trevi platform and for ensuring that all customers receive exceptional support and service.

Alasdair Sparrow

Product & Customer Success Manager

Alasdair’s role is to work closely with retailers and wholesalers making sure trevi customers gain maximum value from the platform.

He is a chartered accountant and has held various roles at Water Plus including Head of Revenue Assurance, Head of Commercial Finance and Head of Financial Control. His experience means that he understands the needs of trading parties and ensures that trevi delivers results in day-to-day operations.

He is passionate about trevi and the NHH Water Market and aims to build long-term partnerships which will assist trading parties, and the wider market, to thrive.
